The KU NROTC Drill Team comprises of both Regulation and Exhibition Drill Teams. We utilize practices with weapons and without. The Drill Team competes on campus as well as across the United States against other units. There is potential for utilizing the Drill Team to perform in Half Time shows for KU Sports. Participation amongst the Battalion is encouraged, however, practices will be mandatory for all freshmen Midshipmen.

Color Guard is used for ceremonial purposes both within the Battalion and the community around KU. The Color Guard performs in military ceremonies, National Anthems for KU Sports, and other ceremonies for community based events. This is an excellent way to volunteer for the Battalion as well as represent our unit and the Navy in various ceremonial functions.
